Strive Health Services, LLC is a family-owned homecare agency serving North, Central and South Texas. We provide pediatric therapy services, including occupational, physical, and speech-language therapy for children from newborns to 21 years, private duty nursing for medically complex clients of all ages, and compassionate caregivers for companion and personal care services.

“We have officially made it through the evaluation! My husband and I made the decision that ABA was the safest for our child but we were so nervous about how we were going to continue speech and occupational therapy while our child was in ABA and Strive Health did exactly what we were looking for. Strive therapist went to the ABA center and did the evaluation and will continue to go to the ABA center and provide the services our child needs. The staff at ABA said the therapist doing the evaluation were very kind and open with communication on techniques that help with our child. We are excited to start our therapy and continue to work but be fully involved with their parent portal access to see notes from appointments and anything shared to help us with our child at home.”

We’re continuing our Developmental Speech & Language Milestones Video Series at Strive! 💙 In this series, our speech therapists break down important developmental milestones by age range to help families know what to look for as their little ones grow.

In our third video, De’Andrea Magee, HTX Speech Therapy Supervisor at Strive, walks us through some milestones you may see from 6 to 9 months, including:

👋 Gives objects upon request, such as “Give me…”
💬 Says “mama” or “dada” meaningfully
🐮 Imitates non-speech sounds, such as “moo” or “vroom-vroom”
🚫 Responds to “no-no”
🗣️ Says a first word
🥤 Drinks from a cup and begins experimenting with finger foods
